Toronto Finally Has A Winner

Toronto Argonauts Capture the 100th Grey Cup

Tuesday November 27th will forever be known as Toronto Argonauts Day thanks to the impressive 35-22 win by the Argos on Sunday.

The victory over the Calgary Stampeders put the often forgotten team into the Toronto spotlight- at least for this week- as the city was full of energy that hadn’t been felt since the early ’90s.  Many will argue that the 2012 Argos were destined to win 100th Grey Cup. From their practice facility going up in flames to the one sided-trade that landed Ricky Ray, the Argos battled and overcame the odds With the Maple Leafs in the middle of a lockout and the Raptors fighting to stay out of the NBA’s basement this was the perfect time for the Argos to seize the attention.

IN THE PAINT: 2012-2013 NBA PREVIEW

It’s the “King’s” league now.

Love him or hate him,  but the NBA is now Lebron’s league. Fresh off the NBA title and an Olympic Gold Medal, Lebron James and his Miami Heat  teammates are ready to defend their championship.

With few teams standing in their way in the Eastern Conference look for the Heat to fly into the NBA Finals (barring a significant injury), where things could get interesting when they finally battle a worthy opponent from the West.

What should the Jays do at the deadline?

(Photo: Vancouver Sun)

With a number of key players- or their entire starting rotation- on the disabled list the Blue Jays are lucky to find themselves only 2.5 games out of a playoff spot (via the Wild Card).

So the question becomes: what should general manager, Alex Anthopoulos do? Should he stay the course and play out the season with hopes of bolstering the roster in the off-season? OR for the first time in a long time should the Jays made a significant move mid-season?

Every sport needs its villain and until Thursday night Lebron James was that villain for many NBA fans. The controversy surrounding his departure from Cleveland (highlighted by his infamous ‘decision ’) created a gap between fans.

Since he first entered the association in 2003 James has had his share of haters and doubters ( I’ve been one of them), he’s gone through so much turmoil in the years leading up to this title. There was never a doubt on his skill level- at least not on this end- but the problem many had with the so called “King” was that he was given so much so soon.
