RACE, HIP-HOP, AND DRAKE.
Check out my latest article for Canada’s number 1 urban culture magazine, Urbanology. In this article I go one on one with author and hip-hop historian Dalton Higgins as we discuss his new book, FAR FROM OVER: THE MUSIC AND LIFE OF DRAKE.
Hip-hop expert and historian Dalton Higgins has been writing on urban culture for nearly 20 years. He has interviewed and covered the who’s who of hip-hop, from J-Dilla to Jay-Z; Higgins is well versed when it comes to the music scene. His latest novel, Far From Over celebrates the music and success of the chart topping, bi-racial rapper from Toronto who goes by the name of Drake.
The foundation that brought Lupe Fiasco to Toronto last summer is back at it again, this time with the legendary Lauryn Hill.
